With a last-lap surge to the front of the field, Wood Brothers Racing driver Harrison Burton earned a DAYTONA International Speedway® victory that was historic on several levels.
Burton, with his No. 21 DEX Imaging Ford Mustang, led only one lap. It was the one that scored the 23-year-old driver his first NASCAR Cup Series® victory in 98 career starts. The win was also the 100th all-time victory for the legendary Wood Brothers organization and the team’s first since 2017. Burton joined his father, Jeff, and uncle, Ward, as NASCAR Cup Series winners with the win that also locked the No. 21 team into the 2024 playoffs.
